Jason (Ιασων), from ιαομαι the verb.
Take the Ionian form of that verb, ιηομαι, make it Aorist or future tense, and you have the ιησ- root.
The mystery is a performance. There are titles to uphold. Ιασων gets christed just like our χριστος.
Embodying the drug itself
Just like "Bob the Builder" is a character that builds things, Jesus is a character who "Christs" (it's a term similar to anoint, but much much older going back to 800BCE Homeric writings. Christ is the original term while anoint was a theological reframing during/after the GNT writers. To contrast: to "Christ" is rooted in pharmakon reality - to apply visionary salves, while the later "anoint" is more supernatural / ceremonial.
We use "christ" instead of anoint, since it's more accurate, and reminds us of the context Jesus was operating in, and the long history of christers before him.
Jesus appears to be performing his own christing rituals using similar mechanics to those who came before. [pull references needed here]
Seemingly
Upholding the Jason and Media pairing, and title structure.
JEsus's mother Mary was a temple priestess. Her abortifaceant drugs supplied by the temple failed, and this parthenos (virgin) became pregnant. The priesthood support their own, and the Magi brought 3 gifts to the new born baby: Frankenscense, Mhyrr, and Gold.
The first two were for fumigation purposes, and the Gold was for education.
Paul knew Lydia the murex purple dye merchant.
We know the purple was involved in the much earlier Oracular / Echidnaic rites as one of the components in the compound drugs used to move the Initiate's mind to the right place.
Jesus's group seems to be also using the same drugs as earlier traditions.
John the Baptist was killed by the Echidna Priesthood (head cut off) for practicing the rites [reference needed]. While destroying their sacred groves, clearly moving to erase previous traditions to gain power & influence.
Jesus was defensive when arrested in Garden of Gethsemenie saying "why are you coming at me like Im a Lestes?", and then hung between 2 Lestes.
This was said right after a gumnos neaniskos (naked youth) is seen running away, leaving his sindon (medical grade linen bandage) behind, as the guards close in on Jesus.
We know from a few sources what a Lestes is:
