Hellenism

Greek Religion, also known as Hellinism, is the indigenous polytheist religion of the Greeks, with roots tracing back to antiquity. A vivid cosmology, from which Greek thought has shaped theology, tradition, philosophy, and cosmogenic narratives.

Greek Religion is polytheistic, as it recognizes and accepts the natural law of the diversity of the World. Its unique pantheon of Gods and Goddesses expresses and guarantees the operation of the multiple and complex cosmic forces that make up the Universe.

Greek Religion is natural, because it understands that the divine rules and permeates nature, making it sacred and alive. Gods represent the physical functions of nature (e.g., the annual cycle, birth, death and rebirth), establishing the eternal and unchanging laws of the World and Kosmos. By knowing their stories, by focusing on them, we know them and recognize and respect those aspects of nature.

Approaching and understanding the laws of nature requires logical and intellectual processing and perception. Since antiquity, the observation, analysis and systematization of natural phenomena have been the basis of theology and worship practices (sacred ceremonies, celebrations, ceremonies). Knowledge of the divine world, therefore, comes from the study of living and sacred nature.

The Greek “logically grounded sacred word,” enriched with mythological narratives, has been preserved as an authentic and true tradition to this day. The sacred experience leads people to recognize the widespread divinity around and within them, and this perception shaped the ethics, art, and philosophy of Greek culture.

Greekism offers a unique, rational, and deeply spiritual way to connect with the divine and the laws of the Universe.
