It's an honor to be able to talk to the people we are talking to tonight. Tonight we're going to have a conversation with Auld Boy about what he's doing and he's going to tell us the Greek that he has worked through.
First I want to talk through something new, we're going to have an experiment this Friday on Lady Babylon we are going to examine a patient who has been inoculated, and what we're doing is we're subjecting him to the holy spirit, we're subjecting him to the Christ, and we're going to see if the inoculation is strong enough to cure his humanity (and humanity in general). This person I have coming on is somebody I have not had on before, and I think you all will be extremely pleased at his presence so that is coming this Friday
Today what we're going to look at is a person who has gone through intensive Greek and is putting together all sorts of great stuff, this gent is tracking down the purple in his homeland, let's bring him on:
A: Auld Boy, thank you so much for coming, and would you formally introduce yourself? I know a lot of the Lady Babylon folks already know you, right? But give yourself an introduction you want to give the world
AB: Thanks for having me here. First off, it's great to be able to speak to everybody and basically, I've been through the Intensive course under Ammon, and it's been such a great experience. You know, I think we've been studying just under a year, and going from not even being able to read the letters to now being able to go and research texts and start translating sections of them and presenting them. It's been a liberating experience, so, thank you for the time that you've put in to taking me through that.
A: It's been a great job that you've done. You've marched right through the basic training and now you're working with the text. I saw one of your videos the other day, and you broke down and quoted the Greek. I was like, 'this giant nerd! I love it!' And so that drew you to the Purple, tell us a bit more about your Purple quest.
AB: As you know, they found a chunk of the Purple at the excavation of a bathhouse, and it was very close to where I lived and grew up, so I thought you know I'll get in touch with them, and see if I can go down there, get on-site, put together a little short documentary. And they got back to me and said hey, yeah that's going to be cool, and that was arranged. Then I thought, well, why not piece together a mini-series looking at texts that mention the origin of it: the medical applications of it, and the cult uses as well. Then I thought you know I can just translate chunks of texts and piece them together with some scenery nearby where I live and present them. It's good for me because it gets me diving into those texts, it keeps me reading every day because as you know, it's something you need to be doing every day because it does slip out of the brain. And it keeps me focused, it keeps me going, and looking at Greek text, so it's a win-win all around.
A: What you hear is discipline. Everybody's watching Ammon U who's got your book. This is discipline that Auld Boy is exhibiting here, this is an example to follow. Now he's running down archeologists, and they told you they've found more.
AB: That's right, that hasn't hit the media or anything yet, I managed to get a five-minute interview with the man overseeing the dig, and said I was obviously interested in it, and he had a little smile because he found another piece, and so I was very excited to get that news and share with you all.
A: You got the story there. It must have been exciting for him to be able to talk to someone who has the background and knows the text. Isn't it liberating, Auld Boy, when you can actually work with those primary texts yourself?
AB: Yeah, it's absolutely incredible. When I was first getting interested in this kind of stuff I'd be researching, trying to compile texts, some of it would be in Latin, some of it would be in Greek, and I'd be going, ugh, I just wish I knew what it said. And now that i've been through that process, I can be there with the text, a lexicon, using Alice, and I can work through a translation
A: Good! And you got your Smyth Grammar in case anything gets funny out in the bush. Tell us, where do you go from here? I know you're interested in some things, going up north, interested in Norse. How do you see yourself using your classical studies?
AB: Well, obviously family life was a bit hectic and now it's quieting down a bit so I can focus on moving forward into the Greek. Still do want to pursue the runeology. That is an interest of mine, you know, I'm always tracing down the origin of where these runic scripts came from. Right now, I just want to be able to look at texts. And it's a nice little package I've found that I can deliver, where I can translate some texts, go around some scenery because I've got some amazing historical sites on my doorstep and I can join the two together and just present them so I'm happy doing that. That's what excites me and it keeps me reading the Greek. That's something I want to develop to the next level.
A: I absolutely love that and I know you're going to end up integrating a whole bunch of different stuff and you're going to end up being one of those polyglots and more power to you. That's inside of some people, they don't realize it's in there. Maybe you got a little bit of inclination along the way somewhere but man, that language work just brings out the beauty. So, we should all check out Auld Boy and support him as somebody who's coming forward and picking up those sources. No back alley with Auld Boy, he's into the reality. You were an excellent student and everyone should look up to you. Say what's on your mind and we'll let you go
AB: What I'd say is, have faith in the book. Hansen and Quinn is a great resource and you know mine is literally still bookmarked, I still refer back to it all the time, I use that in conjunction with the Smyth Greek Grammar, and obviously Alice. Just trust the process, identify your verbs first. That's all I do when I go into a text. I just identify everything and then work from there. As long as you identify everything, that's a great starting point. Stick with it, it's worth it. It'll change your life and change your mind, so yeah thanks guys!
A: We would probably get a full class if I were in the position to be able to bring a summer intensive course. I would have you be one of the chief instructors, drill instructors. Fabulous job. Love it. I'm gonna keep checking out your work. Get out of here, thank you for coming.
AB: Thanks so much, thank you, take care
Let us purge from ourselves the "probably's" and "ideas" and "theories", we are not here for that. Take that Greek and forge an instrument of attack. This is our life heritage. The words of our dead ancestors. We'll purge with reason and accurate linguistics, with evidence.
Welcome to the mission of Lucifer (see also link, link)
(After this I saw 4 angels of the earth)
and what are these angels doing? they're guarding the winds. This stuff is so psychedelic. Here we are, flying at the 4 "gōnias" - what is a gōnia? You can translate that as "corners" the 4 corners
Think of the four corners, if we're in the rite, and the "angelos" - the messenger, is giving us the mystery. And the Mystery starts with the restraint of the winds. And if you are living in antiquity, and you are reading Greek, you know the science behind the Winds. What are the angels doing? They're restricting that "anemos", they're keeping it from the sea and the land, it's not gonna be whistling through the trees.
Medea, the architect of the first mystery in Western history, is the one who created a rite whereby you can transit this life–death barrier. In that rite, this science of the winds, Medea wrote hymns to the winds. This is Greek that is using cult code- and that code was found, declared, in 1900's and titled by a dude, classical scholar, so ahead of the game. He says there's a code in the Orphic it's called the Vox, these texts are using that code. A throne isn't a throne, it's a drug. Something that is polythronic is a compound drug. You're getting a christing in someone, quick.
What is this corner of the earth? Just like that Rising, (ἀνατολή anatolē) those locations where you have the rising, on the corners. Those corners, those cardinal directions, from which the winds are derived, the come they blow they have their "ἀρχὰς" in the corners. we've taken the drugs, we're talking to the angel. The angel is giving us a scientific explanation of what's going on. This is Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos (Claudius Ptolemy, Book I, Chapter 10) In it Ptolemy is mapping out the science of everything you're seeing in the apocalypse.
More Ptolemy- it says, "these winds, they come from this location, they're commonly southern winds, they're very warm and they're "μανωτικοί" What does that mean exactly?
A. [select] relaxing, of south winds, Ptol.Tetr. 29; loosening. ἀλείμματα Gal.10.760
What kinds of winds are we dealing with? relaxing winds, loosening winds. wait am i talking about anthropology and history don't lose the perspective of the rite, remember?
“ἀλείμματα” Gal.10.760. Galen uses this word. What is a aleimmata? They are things used in unguence. remember you have the purple ooze drizzling out of your eyes and the cheeks covered in chalk preventing it from burning your skin. What is the angel going to say?
A.anything used for anointing, unguent, fat, oil, Pl.Ti.50e, Antiph. 154, Arist.Pr.884b37, etc.: pl., Hices. ap. Ath.15.689c, Diocl.Fr.141.
And I saw another angel coming out from the east or the rising point of the sun as the Helios- the grandfather of the Medwa - what's this Angelon got? Every time you are undergoing the rite, the angel is going to give you something. What's he got in his hand? he's got "σφραγίς" sphragida? What are those? The angel gives you those things and he starts yelling- who's he yelling at? The four angels implementing the winds, the power is given to them to do what is unjust to all the world.
III. tablet of Lemnian medicinal earth certified as such by bearing the impression. of the seal of the Lemnian priestess of Artemis, Dsc.5.97; ς. λημνíα Id.Alex.Prooem., Gal.12.169, Aret.CA2.2, so prob. in Archig. ap. Orib.44.26.11, 51.42.5.
V. Medic., pastille, ǹ Пoλuɛídou c. Gal.13.834, Paul.Aeg.7.12, cf. Cels.5.20.2, al.
Have you ever heard of Paul of Aegina?
Another very influential physician, and Celsus- the roman doctor. This is the Celsus who is attached to the Roman legion who has the drugs for the rites, the medical. Pastilles are put in places. We put the pastille into your body
How do you get sealed?
on your forehead
...2. façade, “ναοῦ” SIG282 ii 20 (Priene, iv B. C.).
3. margin of a book, Gal.17(1).634, Hdn.Epim.2, 159.
4. bandage for the forehead, Gal. 18(1).803.
They put drugs in the bandage so you can get christed, it runs into the eyes right out of the cloth, you don't have to make any lateral incisions, which is the way the priestesses would do it, you make incisions, you cover it that way. No, you take this directly in the eyes, and if the light that is in your eyes is singular, then the whole body is full of it.
Look at this. It's also aromatic egyptian ointment, that you call "metoupion"
II. aromatic Egyptian ointment containing μέτωπον III, Dsc.1.59; containing oil of bitter almonds, Apollon. ap. Ath.15.688f, cf. Gal.19.71, Paul.Aeg.7.20.
2. = ἀμυγδάλινον ἔλαιον, Dsc.1.33, Gloss.; cf. νε<*>ώπιον.
next one, what happens here?
A.the resinous juice of all-heal, Ferula galbaniflua (v. TάναкEÇ), Thрhr.HP9.1.2, 9.7.2, Nic.Th.52, LXX Ex.30.34, Si.24.15, Dsc.3.83, Plu.2.1009f. (Hebr. [hudot Jelbenah.)
the all-heal - πάναξ [αλν], ακος, ὁ,
Α.- πάνακες or πανάκεια, Dsc.2.163, 3.51, Ps. Dsc. 3.48, Philagr. ap. Orib.5.19.12, etc.
this is your Panax ("ginseng") - they used to call it All-Heal, again a very prominent drug, this is a physician that worker directly with the oracles, he's one of the last people to ever work with an oracle
In the event of an apocalypse what does Jesus, the christ, the son of god recommend that you do - that you...
Christ yourself, preventing you from injury.
You’re going to have this in your hands. The Phoenicians are inhabitants. They're known for taking the booty, these are leisti? These are the drug-traders of antiquity, pirates. Not a unified nation. Groups of drug-traffickers. That's why they're called pirates.
The curve-ball. Who is this? Athena, Book 13 of the Odyssey. That is an implement of dionysus. She rubs it all over his limbs that rots his flesh and turns his hair dark. She says it is Odysseus' cunning that attracts her. We are applying more drugs-
What do you give to the Muses? The All-Gold Fleece of the Ram.
We are at the wedding, joining church and jesus. In the Mystery we are all working toward the wedding. The wedding is always on the Fleece. That union comes through the words, the sacred song that is printed on the fleece. Using drugged ink. You want to see those angels? You have to go through the Fleece.
Lamb of God is the fleece.
Ammon: "After this I saw a huge crowd no one could number, every group, language, tribe, people, standing before the throne and before the Fleece. And they were wrapped in white and they had "φοίνικες" in their hands. What was in their hands? phoenicians? No, they have the purple or the crimson. What kind of things have the Purple or the Crimson?
A. Phoenician, “Φοῖνιξ ἀνὴρ ἀπατήλια εἰδώς” Od.14.288, cf. 13.272, 15.415; “ὡς Φ. ἀνήρ, Σιδώνιος κάπηλος” S.Fr.909.
Let's track it down a little bit:
B. φοῖνιξ, purple or crimson, because the discovery and earliest use of this colour was ascribed to the Phoenicians, Il. 4.141, 6.219, Od.23.201, etc.:-hence,
2. as Adj. (fem. "poívioσα" Pi. (v. infr.); poivic as fem., E.Tr.815), blood-bay, of a horse, Il. 23.454; of red cattle, “φοίνισσα ἀγέλα” Pi.P.4.205, cf. Theoc.25.128: of the colour of fire, “φοίνισσα φλόξ” Pi.P.1.24; πυρὸς φ. πνοά E.l.c.; also "p. iuάvτεç" Simon.17; "πÉПλοɩ" E.Нel.181 (lyr.), etc.
What is a phoinikeimoun? Something that is stained red
A.with garment of red, v. φιλοκονίμων.
What does it mean?
A.imitate the Phoenicians, of unnatural vice, Luc.Pseudol.28, Gal.12.249.
A. do like the Lesbian women, Lat.fellare, Ar.Ra. 1308, Luc.Pseudol.28.
Ammon's translation: (create the mental image)
fire cannot extinguish fire
there is a moist stinging in my eyes
causing me to want to grab on to that beauty
and to never let go of that boy
~what is aphrodite doing?~
To do the Phoenician is what Jesus was doing to that little boy. When you get down to the dirt of the language, that makes a lot more sense. What happens? Pilate took Jesus and he whipped him.

A.of purple woof, “ζώνα” Pi.O.6.39.
Regarding the guy we're reading about, "doing the Phoenician", with his boys. Muops, The gadfly stings his eyes, oistrous, Paul talks about thorn in the flesh, because he's got a boy, he's talking about this... (makes Ammon want to barf, not a good thing)
