NoBeliefRequired

To the folks that "rebut" and "debunk" using adhominim or denounce based on "how disgusting" or that "the ancients wouldn't do that"...

... this is for you:

Dr Hillman, in true scientist form, is quick to point out that you don't have to believe him. What he reads to us doesn't need your belief. The source texts will continue to exist, and everyone else is thus free to skip right over your biased opinion and go read it for themselves. The text lives in its own truth and doesn't need you to agree with it.

"What you said earlier about what Ammon said about not trusting him and just reading the sources is true, thats why I never entertain the naysayers because Im in the sources daily, and I’ve confirmed most of what Ammon is saying through other sources that he never posted. He’s being completely honest and isn’t going overboard. The text’s lay it all out. And with him giving us ears to hear, I can do my own research on aspects of the rite/bible that he’s never spoken of. What he gave the people is amazing. You’d have to be knee deep in the sources to know how much validity there is to what he’s saying. He really gave us the ultimate blueprint, super grateful."

Yeah, All this drama is dumb

Speaking of being knee deep in the sources:

I don't need Ammon or the other guy to tell me what they read, or think, or (in the case of the guy) believe. I saw Mark 14:51 and translated it and understood the art involved in doing it. It at first glance appears like cherry picking from the lexicon. But after going through it and avoiding doing that. I finally saw how Ammon worked it out. It's all context. That's the art form.

This actual conversation illustrates the mind behind Dr Hillman's audience. And the science mind in decoding these texts. It's not belief. It's not a cult. It's not coming from a love of the disgusting. And it's not wishful thinking. It's reading the reality of the texts using a scientific mindset.
